You are your own first responder. Whether you are out on the gun range, in the backcountry hiking or camping, or simply taking a road trip, there is a very real chance at some point you may encounter a situation that calls for immediate care to address trauma, and help may be too far away. As with CPR / AED and First Aid, as responsible citizens we all have the opportunity and obligation to learn, and use, basic level skillsets to help increase survival in these unique situations.

Our Essentials to First Aid Course will accomplish exactly that! You will be provided with the tools, mindset, and foundational knowledge to be better equipped and prepared to help yourself, or others.

75th Bunker has teamed up with local Dr. John Ianni (meet your instructor) to provide you with an Essentials to First Aid Course right here in Naples, Florida. In our Essentials to First Aid course there will be thorough interactive classroom learning as well as hands on practical application of currently accepted methods to render potentially lifesaving First Aid.

Our Essentials to First Aid course is for everyone! From those with no experience to very experienced, from the avid shooter to the outdoorsman, so come with an open, ready to learn mindset.

Naples Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course Objectives

  • To provide adjunctive training to supplement other basic certified First Aid and CPR / AED, Stop the Bleed courses, as well as any pertinent Firearms Training and Safety Classes taken prior to this course.

  • To provide basic entry level skills and knowledge to preform specific First Aid and “Stop the Bleed” concepts for all types of penetrating trauma, including gun shot wounds, stab wounds, sharp objects etc.

  • To learn basic proper equipment function and implementation for indicated injuries.

  • To improve ability to employ basic First Aid skills (Tactical Combat Casualty Care – TCCC or Tactical Emergency Casualty Care – TECC) and help enhance mindset to become a more prepared and responsible citizen / gun owner.

  1. First Aid and Stop the Bleed Overview
  2. Current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Principles
  3. Applications to Various Scenarios
  4. Equipment Overview and Indications
  5. Practical Application of Equipment and Concepts
  • Limit of 10 students per course.
  • You may be on the ground, so dress accordingly.

You will have the opportunity to physically use and learn the function of the following equipment and devices. You will also walk out of the class fully equipped with the provided First Aid materials below.

Essentials to First Aid Course Instructor

Dr. John Ianni (aka Doc) is a local DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) who specializes in Surgical and Non-Surgical Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. His extensive background in Human Anatomy and Physiology, as well as his studies in wound care and acute cardiac rehabilitation, have allowed him to help treat these types of issues and apply that experience to the world of firearms.

Doc is an NRA Certified Instructor in Handgun, Rifle, Home Firearms Safety, and is a Certified Range Safety Officer. He is also an NRA Certified Law Enforcement Instructor for Patrol Rifle and Tactical Shooting.

Doc is passionate about teaching and passing along his knowledge to others. Doc does this in a very easy to understand and enjoyable way. Doc firmly believes having a strong mindset and foundation is the key to success, and that we as lifelong students should be ever-evolving in our pursuit of knowledge, doing so in a collaborative and fun environment.
